BlogSEO AI Visibility: useful measurement when prompts map to real buyers.
BlogSEO's AI Visibility feature measures how frequently tracked AI systems mention a brand and its competitors. It is most useful when the prompt set represents real commercial questions rather than a long list of vanity prompts.
Platforms and prompt coverage
The current documentation lists ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode, with Grok and Mistral available as optional platform add-ons. Up to 30 prompts and 10 competitors can be tracked per website according to the current docs.
Refresh cadence
Google AI Overview and AI Mode are documented as daily checks. Other assistant answers are refreshed on a rolling cycle, so the dashboard changes daily while each answer is refreshed within the documented cycle.
What the score means
The headline visibility score is based on the share of collected answers that mention the tracked brand. That is a monitoring metric, not proof that a particular optimization caused the mention.
Best use
Track category, comparison and problem-solving prompts that a buyer could realistically ask. Review which domains are cited, whether competitors are consistently present and whether changes persist over time. Pair the data with Search Console instead of replacing search-performance measurement with prompt tracking.
